In Hyderabad, a woman driving under the influence caused a major disruption on the Secunderabad – Vikarabad railway line. On Thursday, she drove her car onto the tracks between Nagulapally and Shankarpally stations, leading to service interruptions.

Witnesses reported seeing the woman in a white car navigating along the railway tracks near the NC 20 gate heading towards Nagulapally. Despite repeated warnings, she continued to drive recklessly.

The situation grew tense as she brandished a knife when officials attempted to stop her. Meanwhile, a train was approaching but halted in time when the driver noticed the vehicle on the tracks.

When the woman tried to reverse her car along the tracks, railway staff managed to stop her. She was taken into custody by the Shankarpally police from the Cyberabad Commissionerate and later transferred to the Railway Protection Force (RPF) for further questioning.

Authorities removed the car from the tracks and transported it to the police station. An investigation is underway to determine the reasons behind her actions and to check if she was under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

An official from SCR stated that train movements were regulated as a safety measure, resulting in delays for four passenger trains and four goods trains. The motive for the woman’s actions remains unknown, and police continue their investigation for more information.
