Hyderabad: A new food court called the ‘Rhino Food Court’ was opened at the Nehru Zoological Park on Friday to improve the experience for visitors. The food court was officially inaugurated by RM Dobriyal, the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests.
Zoo officials say the Rhino Food Court is part of their efforts to modernize and upgrade the zoo’s facilities. It is run by Mrugavani Restaurants and Resorts India Pvt Ltd, and is considered one of the first Public-Private Partnership (PPP) projects in the Forest Department. The zoo has leased the food court to Mrugavani for 10 years.
The food court is located next to the Rhinoceros enclosure and can serve more than 300 people at a time. Visitors can enjoy a variety of snacks, meals, soft drinks, ice creams, tea, and coffee while watching wild animals in their enclosures nearby.
