The SR University (SRU) in Warangal held its second convocation at the Ananthasagar Campus in Hanumakonda district on Saturday. The event was overseen by SRU Chancellor, A Varada Reddy.
CYIENT Founder Chairman, Dr. BVR Mohan Reddy, spoke at the occasion. He congratulated the new graduates on their achievements and encouraged them to remain persistent and grateful to those who helped them succeed.
SRU Vice Chancellor, Prof. Deepak Garg, highlighted the university’s global collaborations. He mentioned partnerships with Microsoft for the B Tech Computer Science Program and with top 500 universities worldwide for the B Tech Artificial Intelligence (AI) program. Prof. Garg also noted that SRU has over 3,000 publications, more than 200 patents, and significant research funding from various projects.
Prof. Garg emphasized the university’s success in securing jobs for its students. He mentioned that the highest salary package offered was Rs 51 LPA, with valuable internship opportunities, the top offer being Rs 15 lakh.
During the ceremony, SRU awarded 1,089 degrees, presented medals to top-ranking students, and honored distinguished alumni.
The university also awarded an honorary doctorate to poet and actor Tanikella Bharani for his contributions to Telugu cinema. Chancellor A Varada Reddy praised Tanikella Bharani and expressed pride in bestowing this honor upon him.
