The Mahabubnagar district administration is getting ready to celebrate the farm loan waiver program announced by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy. The government will forgive all farm loans up to Rs 1 lakh on Thursday. The district collector Viziendira Boi has instructed agriculture department officials to organize grand celebrations at the ‘Rythu Vedikas’ in each village.

During a Webex meeting on Wednesday, Collector Boi emphasized the importance of thorough preparations for the upcoming event. The meeting included District Agriculture Officer, various ADs, mandal agriculture officers, and agricultural extension officers. The state government has announced a loan waiver for farmers with loans under Rs 2 lakh.

Farmers eligible for the waiver should gather at the designated venues by 4 pm on Thursday, where Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will address them via video conference. Arrangements are being made at all 16 Vedikas at the mandal level, and preparations should be completed at these venues. Local MLAs will also participate in their constituencies, with around 200 farmers from each mandal joining the celebrations at Rythu Vedikas.
