Foolproof Arrangements in Place for Group-1 Mains Exams Starting October 21

Hyderabad: The authorities have made thorough arrangements for the Group-1 Mains exams, which will begin on October 21. CCTV cameras have been installed in every examination hall, the Chief Superintendent’s room, and nearby areas. These cameras will be monitored from a control room at the TGPSC office in Hyderabad.

The TGPSC (Telangana State Public Service Commission), police, and energy departments are responsible for ensuring that the exams are conducted smoothly at all centers. The Group-1 Mains exams will take place from October 21 to 27. Disabled candidates will receive an extra hour to complete their exams. Those who need scribes to assist them during the exam must mention this on their hall tickets. Special staff will handle biometric attendance at the exam centers, and no candidate will be allowed inside the center after 1:30 PM.

Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari held a video conference with District Collectors, Police Commissioners, and other officials to discuss the exam arrangements. She shared that 31,383 candidates will take the Group-1 Mains exams at 46 exam centers located in Hyderabad, Rangareddy, and Medchal-Malkajgiri districts. District Collectors will oversee the exams, while Police Commissioners will ensure security at the centers.

TGPSC Chairman Dr. M. Mahender Reddy mentioned that these Group-1 Mains exams are being held after a 13-year break, with the last exam conducted in 2011. He urged officials to carry out their duties carefully to ensure the smooth running of the exams.

DGP Jitender also confirmed that detailed arrangements have been made at all exam centers, and all necessary steps have been taken to ensure the exams are peaceful.

TGPSC Secretary Naveen Nicholas reported that 85 percent of candidates have already downloaded their hall tickets. Commissioner of the Family Welfare Department, Karnan, said special medical camps have been set up at all exam centers. SPDCL MD Musharraf Ali assured that continuous power supply will be maintained, with three Chief Engineers overseeing the process. Additionally, special RTC buses have been arranged for the convenience of the candidates.
