Forests play a vital role in our ecosystem

On the occasion of the International Day of Forests, officials from TGFDC Deccan Woods and Trails highlighted the importance of forests in sustaining life on Earth.

Ranjeet Naik, Executive Director of Eco-Tourism, explained that forests play a key role in ensuring food security. He emphasized that forests are not just scenic landscapes but vital parts of the ecosystem.

He pointed out that forests provide essential resources such as timber, fruits, medicinal plants, and mushrooms. Additionally, they support the livelihoods of millions of people across the world by offering food, shelter, and income opportunities.
