Today, on the third Saturday of the month of Shravan, a food donation program was organized in the presence of Sri Venkateswara Swamy. This event was led by Annadatha Thota Srinivasa Reddy and his wife, under the guidance of Wanaparthy town BJP President, Bachurama.
Madhu Vijayal contributed by donating Pongali, a traditional dish. The program was officially started by Wanaparthy Mandal Ruler, Si Jalandhar Reddy, who participated as the chief guest. Around 2,000 people were served food during this event.
The BJP town president shared that many people have requested the MLA to declare Sri Sri Tirumalaiya Gutta, a historic site in Wanaparthy district, as a tourist center. In response, the MLA has secured two crores of funds from the government for a report on this matter.
It was promised that Sri Sri Tirumalaiya Gutta would soon be declared a tourism site and developed accordingly. However, the current situation remains challenging. Local leaders, including the commissioner and chairman, have not provided even basic facilities to visitors at Tirumalaiya Gutta, which is concerning.
Thousands of people visit Tirumalaiya Gutta from nearby villages, yet the government has not provided them with essential amenities. The leaders responded similarly this Saturday, as many people from Wanaparthy visited Tirumalaiya Gutta to fulfill their wishes.
Now, for the fourth week in a row, Wanaparthy town president Bachu Ramu has urged the authorities to provide minimum facilities, fresh water, and proper restroom facilities for the visitors. Former councilor Alivelamma Pushpa, Wanaparthy BJP town general secretary Naveen Aravind, and SC Morcha Wanaparthy town president Chanikya Madhu also participated in the program.
