    Nagar Kurnool: A free vaccination drive was held in the villages of Manthati and Ganyagula in Nagarkurnool Mandal on Tuesday. The drive focused on protecting cattle from Hemorrhagic Septicemia (HS), a serious disease. Dr. B. Gnanasekhar, the District Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Officer, inspected the program.

    Dr. Gnanasekhar explained that HS is a dangerous illness that affects cows, calves, and buffaloes. If not treated in time, it can cause severe health problems in animals. He urged farmers to make sure their cattle receive the HS vaccine every six months.

    According to Dr. Kalpana and Dr. Ashok, who are Mandal Veterinary Officers, a total of 426 animals were vaccinated during the drive. This included 310 cows and 116 buffaloes.

    Several veterinary staff members took part in the program. These included JVO Satyam, LSA Srisailam, Vinay, Vanaja, VA Sana, OS Niranjan, Satish, Maqbool, Bhaskar, Kurumurthy, Pullayya, and Lingaswamy.
