On Wednesday, 150 Haj pilgrims from Telangana left for Jeddah on a special flight operated by Vistara Airlines. The Telangana Home Minister Mohammad Ali and Telangana State Haj Committee chairman Mohammed Saleem flagged off the buses carrying the pilgrims from Haj House in Hyderabad. A total of 7,000 pilgrims from neighboring Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Maharashtra will depart from Hyderabad.

In addition, many Muslims from Andhra Pradesh left for Haj on Wednesday morning from Gannavaram Airport in Vijayawada on flight SG 5007. The flight will reach Jeddah with 170 passengers. The state government has worked hard to make Vijayawada the embarkation point and arranged for Volvo buses to bring pilgrims from all districts to Vijayawada.
