In Hyderabad, A Suryaprakash Singh, the BJP Hyderabad Central District treasurer, gave away 5-foot tall Lord Ganesh idols at Barkatpura Chaman. These idols were distributed for free to young devotees living in apartments, colonies, and slums in the area.
BJP Leader N Gautam Rao emphasized the importance of government support for a peaceful Ganesh Utsav in Bhagyanagar. He highlighted the festival’s significance in the country and urged cooperation from both the state government and police to ensure a smooth celebration.
Recent electrical accidents in the city led to several fatalities: five in Ramanthapur, one in Amberpet, and two in Bandlaguda. Rao called for immediate action by the authorities to prevent such incidents from happening again. He advised the electricity department to avoid irresponsible comments and take urgent steps to enhance safety. Additionally, he asked the police to ease festival restrictions on organizers.
The recent rains have damaged many city roads. Ahead of the Ganesh festival, the GHMC needs to urgently repair these roads, ensuring celebrations aren’t disrupted. Repair work on severely damaged roads should begin promptly.
Festival organizers are encouraged to focus on spiritual programs in mandapams, showcasing Bhagyanagar‘s glory to the world. Gautam Rao served as the chief guest at the event. Participants included Organizing Committee member A. Ashish Raj Singh, BJP Kacheguda Division President T Balveer, and leaders Sheer Sagar, Sunil, SS Ramu, Satyender Singh, among others.
