Gadwal: The Gattu Block in Jogulamba Gadwal district has achieved remarkable success. It ranked 5th nationwide and 2nd in Zone-3, which includes Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala, in the Aspirational Blocks Programme (ABP) 2024–25 Delta Ranking for the fourth quarter, released by NITI Aayog.
District Collector B. M. Santosh, IAS shared this exciting news, announcing that Gattu Block’s outstanding performance will be rewarded with ₹1 crore by NITI Aayog.
The rankings were revealed in a virtual event attended by representatives from all 500 Aspirational Blocks in India. The “Wall of Fame” at NITI Aayog Headquarters now showcases the achievements of top blocks. This highlights the role of Aspirational Blocks in supporting India’s vision for development by 2047.
The rankings were based on 39 Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across five development themes: Health and Nutrition, Education, Agriculture and Allied Services, Basic Infrastructure, and Social Development. Gattu Block’s score rose from 61.24 to 69.43 between the third and fourth quarters, showing an 8.19% growth.
Collector B. M. Santosh praised the hard work of Gattu Block’s officials and workers, emphasizing their dedication to meeting KPI targets. He congratulated all involved and expressed optimism about the district’s future success in national programs.
This achievement not only highlights Gattu Block’s administrative skill and grassroots commitment but also inspires other blocks to pursue rapid, inclusive, and sustainable development.
