Gattu Block Ranks in Top 5 Nationally, Aims for 100% Goals

Gadwal’s Gattu Block in Jogulamba Gadwal district has reached a significant achievement by ranking among the Top 5 blocks in India in the NITI Aayog’s Aspirational Blocks Program Delta Ranking for the fourth quarter of 2024–25. District Collector B.M. Santosh praised the hard work of officials and frontline workers, urging them to aim for 100% in Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) moving forward.

On Tuesday, a review meeting for the Aspirational Block Program (ABP) took place in the IDOC Conference Hall, led by the Collector to discuss Gattu Block’s achievements and future strategies.

Gattu Block received national recognition by ranking 5th nationwide and 2nd in Zone–3 under the ABP. In response to its success, NITI Aayog awarded ₹1 crore to the block.

The Collector congratulated all mandal-level officers, department heads, and frontline staff for their dedication. He stressed maintaining this commitment to reach 100% KPI targets in future quarters.

Collaborating Organizations like SBI Sanjeevani, Bharat Bhavishya, Teach for Change, and MV Foundation received special thanks for their support in health and education.

The Collector identified 39 key performance indicators across five sectors: Health and Nutrition, Education, Agriculture and Water Resources, Financial Inclusion and Skill Development, and Basic Infrastructure. He urged officials to focus on these indicators for better future results, especially prioritizing the welfare of women and children.

Gattu Block’s current composite score is 69.43. The Collector called for increased efforts to improve this score, aiming for perfect KPI achievement.

The review meeting included Additional Collector Narsinga Rao, District Panchayat Officer Nagendram, District Medical Officer Dr. Siddappa, District Welfare Officer Sunanda, MPDO Chennayya, Program Officer Sandhya Rani, and Aspirational Block Program Coordinator Afzal along with other officials.

This accomplishment is a proud moment for Jogulamba Gadwal district, showcasing Gattu Block as a model for other aspirational blocks in India.
