Gadwal: A 72-hour closure of educational institutions is planned for July 2, 3, and 4. Today, a poster was unveiled in front of Sri Sathya Sai Degree and PG College in the Gadwal district to promote this event.
Haleem Pasha, the PDSU District President, spoke to the media, outlining several demands. He called for the immediate release of overdue fee reimbursements and scholarships. He also demanded action against engineering colleges that break rules by collecting extra fees disguised as donations.
Pasha insisted on reducing the unreasonably increased tuition fees in Telangana‘s engineering colleges and wanted the pending overseas scholarship funds to be released. He pushed for legal action against colleges collecting illegal donations and opposed any government attempts to end the fee reimbursement scheme. Pasha urged everyone to participate in making the 72-hour bandh successful.
Vaman Palli Rangaswamy, the USFI State Joint Secretary, showed his full support for the protest. The management of Degree and PG Colleges also pledged their backing for the closure.
Many student leaders and activists, including Mahesh, Buddanna, Imran, Shiva, Charan, Sameer, Narasimhulu, Jagan, Gurumurthy, Dhanush, and Praveen Kumar, joined the event.
This student-led protest is gaining traction statewide, demanding fair treatment for students in professional education. With growing support from educational institutions and student groups, the bandh is expected to see widespread involvement.
