Hyderabad: The Commissioner of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), K Ilambarithi, spoke about the importance of following the values of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution. He made these remarks during the 134th birth anniversary celebrations of Dr. Ambedkar, held at the GHMC headquarters.
The commissioner said that Dr. Ambedkar’s life and work should inspire everyone. He praised Ambedkar for his efforts to uplift the underprivileged and for fighting to ensure equal rights for all people in the country.
Ilambarithi also stressed the importance of living by Ambedkar’s principles. He encouraged everyone to work with fairness, honesty, and a spirit of service, keeping equality at the center of their actions.
Several other GHMC officials, including Additional Commissioners Shivakumar Naidu, Raghu Prasad, Venugopal, Yadagiri Rao, Chief Engineer Ratnakar, and AMC Jeevan Kumar, also attended the event. They paid their respects by offering flowers to Dr. Ambedkar’s portrait.
