    GHMC Commissioner Inspects Development Projects in Serilingampally

    The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Commissioner, K Ilambarthi, inspected various development projects in the Serilingampally zone on Sunday. This visit was part of an inter-departmental convergence initiative aimed at improving infrastructure in the area. Officials from HMDA, the Water Board, TSIIC Police, and the Electricity Department accompanied him.

    During the inspection, the Commissioner reviewed plans for new flyovers and road expansion projects proposed by H-CITI. He also assessed junction improvement projects. The inspection was conducted in collaboration with the Zonal Commissioner and officials from town planning and project maintenance engineering.

    The team visited several key locations where development work is planned. These sites included Khajaguda Junction, CP Office Gachibowli Junction, IIT Junction, Wipro Junction, Contingent Junction, DLF Road Majeed Banda (Botanical Garden), Chandanagar Railway Station, Lingampally Flyover, Sridevi Talkies Gangaram Road, Alvin X Road, and other proposed sites.

    Commissioner Ilambarthi instructed officials to start the process of removing utilities and acquiring land for the H-CITI junction project immediately. To oversee the progress, he traveled by bus along with department officers. He urged officials to quickly disconnect electricity, water, and telephone services in the affected areas to avoid delays in construction.

    As the tender process for the H-CITI works nears completion, the Commissioner emphasized the need for swift action. He called for better coordination among departments to ensure the project is completed smoothly. He also highlighted the state government’s strong commitment to these infrastructure improvements.

    Several senior officials attended the inspection, including HMDA Commissioner Sarfaraz Ahmed, State Municipal Administration Deputy Secretary Priyanka, Water Board MD Ashok Reddy, Chief Engineer Bhaskar Reddy, and TSIIC MD Vishnuvardhan Reddy. Other officials from various departments, including town planning, police, and engineering teams, were also present.
