The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) held a Prajavani public hearing on Monday, where they received 219 complaints. People raised issues about town planning, electrical lights, and other matters at the GHMC headquarters and in all its circles.
At the GHMC headquarters, there were 68 complaints, while the six GHMC zones received 151 applications in total.
Among the 68 complaints at headquarters, 43 concerned the Town Planning Department, 6 were for Engineering, and 5 each related to Health and Sanitation. Additionally, 2 complaints each were for the Tax Section, Admin, Finance, and Land Acquisition departments, with one complaint from the Election Department. In the six zones, Kukatpally had 55 complaints, Secunderabad had 33, Serilingampally had 30, LB Nagar had 15, Charminar had 11, and Khairtabad had 7.
Officials forwarded these complaints to the relevant departments. Commissioner RV Karnan emphasized the need for officials to address these issues with responsibility, ensuring that the residents of Greater Hyderabad are informed about their concerns.
