Hyderabad‘s Mayor, Gadwal Vijayalakshmi, revealed new efforts to tackle the city’s mosquito problem. On Wednesday, she, along with officials, supervised the cleaning of Banjara Lake by removing debris in the Banjara Hills Division.

The FTC mission was initiated as part of the anti-larval operation, and drones are now used for mosquito spraying. The Mayor highlighted ongoing awareness campaigns to prevent diseases like dengue, malaria, and chikungunya. These programs are paired with pre-monsoon sanitation drives, including mosquito fogging, conducted in each ward in four phases.
