    The GHMC commissioner, Ronald Rose, has instructed officials to take legal action against those who dump construction and demolition waste in unauthorized places. He recently visited colonies in the Mehdipatnam circle and supervised sanitation and development works. The commissioner emphasized the need for legal action and penalties under the GHMC Act for dumping waste on roads, footpaths, nalas, lakes, ponds, and other unauthorized areas.

    GHMC has designated four locations for proper disposal of construction and demolition waste. They have urged citizens to only contact authorized agencies for debris disposal. Recycling plants for this waste have been set up in Fathullaguda, Malkajgiri, Shamshabad, and Tumukunta.

    Residents from certain areas should contact Hyderabad C&D Waste Pvt. Ltd. for disposal. The toll-free number is 1800-120-1159, and the WhatsApp number is 9100927073. Similarly, residents from other areas should also contact this agency.

    For citizens in Chandrayangutta, Falaknuma, Charminar, and Rajendra Nagar circles of Charminar zone, the entire Khairatabad zone, Alwal circle of Kukatpally zone, Kapra circle of LB Nagar zone, and Malkajgiri, Musheerabad, Secunderabad, and Begumpet circles of Secunderabad zone, they should contact Soma Srinivas Reddy on the toll-free number 18002030033 or WhatsApp to 7330000203 for disposing of the waste.

    The commissioner urged citizens to cooperate in keeping Hyderabad clean and ordered officials to seize vehicles involved in illegal transportation of construction waste. Zonal Commissioner Venkatesh Dotre, Deputy Commissioner Surya Prakash, AMHO, and others accompanied the commissioner during the inspection.
