The water level of the Godavari River at Bhadrachalam has reached 38.00 feet. This comes with a discharge of 7,19,875 Cusecs.

Authorities have issued a warning as the water level is nearing the 1st warning level of 43.00 feet, which has a discharge of 9,32,288 Cusecs.

There are additional warning levels set for higher water levels. The 2nd warning level is at 48.00 feet with a discharge of 11,44,645 Cusecs, and the 3rd warning level is at 53.00 feet with a discharge of 14,26,684 Cusecs.

In 2022, a major flood occurred when the water level peaked at 71.30 feet and had a discharge of 21.78 Lakh Cusecs.
