Eggs and plastic bottles were thrown at Gopalpur MLA Pradeep Panigrahi’s car, and black flags were shown by alleged BJD workers as his vehicle was stopped near Lanjipalli overbridge. Pradeep was trying to attend a meeting of the 5T Secretary at Balaji Bidyapitha in Kanishi, but his car was stopped 4 km away from Kanishi by BJD workers who chanted slogans like ‘Chor MLA, Go Back’.

The agitators demanded that Pradeep return the money he had allegedly taken from job seekers at Tata company, and stated that they would not allow him to enter the Gopalpur Assembly constituency until he does so. Heated arguments occurred between Pradeep and the protesters.
