Hyderabad: The Telangana government has introduced a new rule for public representatives who want to recommend devotees for darshan at the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD). They must now generate the official recommendation letters only through a special online portal created by the Telangana Chief Minister’s Office (CMO).
According to a letter sent by the CMO, no other method of issuing recommendation letters will be accepted. Public representatives are required to enter the pilgrim’s details, including the type of darshan requested, using the TTD Darshan entry service on the portal.
After entering the details, the recommendation letter must be downloaded, printed, and signed by the public representative. Once signed, a scanned copy of the letter must be uploaded back to the portal. Only after uploading the signed version will the letter be valid and accessible to the TTD liaison officer.
Once the scanned letter is uploaded, the system will automatically send it via WhatsApp to both the pilgrim and the TTD liaison officer. These letters can only be generated from Monday to Thursday, and each public representative can issue only one letter per day.
VIP Break Darshan is available only on Mondays and Tuesdays and includes the option of accommodation. Special Entry Darshan is available on Wednesdays and Thursdays, but it does not include accommodation. Pilgrims must make their own arrangements for staying.
Pilgrims must carry the original recommendation letter and show it at the temple. They also need to bring Aadhar cards for all individuals in the group. For small children without Aadhar cards, birth certificates can be used instead, according to the official statement.
