    Hyderabad: On Tuesday, Governor Jishnu Dev Varma emphasized the importance of the Hindi language in unifying India. He encouraged efforts to promote Hindi and preserve Indian culture.

    The Hindi Prachar Sabha Hyderabad, celebrating its 90th anniversary, was praised by the Governor for its long-standing efforts, even before modern technology like social media or the internet existed. The celebration took place at their location on Nampally Station Road.

    As the chief guest, the Governor highlighted India’s diverse languages and cultures, stating that Hindi can bring unity. He noted that Hindi is now widely spoken in major cities like Hyderabad and in tribal and northeastern regions. Previously, spreading Hindi was challenging, but now, with advanced communication systems, it’s easier. He urged everyone to contribute to this cause.

    The Governor encouraged learning Hindi alongside other languages, citing dedication as key to success. He applauded the Hindi Prachar Sabha Hyderabad for its 90 years of dedication.

    Sunil Baburao Kulkarni, Central Hindi Director, recalled Hindi’s essential role in India’s freedom struggle. He noted the Sabha’s impact in teaching Hindi and training teachers and professors. The event was chaired by Professor Chandrakant Kavade, President of the Sabha, with participation from S Gaibuvalli, Professor Suresh Puri, and others.

    Awards were presented to those contributing to Hindi’s development, along with prizes for winners of Hindi competitions.
