Governor to attend Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam tomorrow

Hyderabad: The Bhagyanagar Sri Ramnavami Utsav Samithi will organize a special event on Sunday to celebrate Sri Ramanavami. They will hold the Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam ceremony and a large Shobha Yatra (religious procession) starting from the historic Sitaram Bagh temple.

Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma will attend the Sita Rama Kalyanam event at the Sitaram Bagh Temple. The Shobha Yatra will also feature speeches from Jagatguru Shankaracharya Swamy Adhokshjananad Dev Theerth Maharaj of Govind Peeth and Tripura Assembly Deputy Speaker Ram Prasad Paul.

The procession will begin at Sitaram Bagh and travel through several areas in Hyderabad. It will pass through Sultan Bazar, Koti Andhra Bank, Bhoiguda Kaman, Mangalhat, Dhoolpet, Jali Hanuman, Puranapul, Jumerat Bazar, Chudi Bazar, Begum Bazar Chatri, Begum Bazar Kirana Market, Bartan Bazar, Siddiamber Bazar, Shanker Sher Hotel, Gowliguda Chaman, Gurudwara Ram Mandir, Putli Bowli, and Women’s College Road. The Yatra will end with a Dharma Sabha (religious gathering) at Koti Andhra Bank.

According to Bhagwanth Rao, president of the Samithi, the Shobha Yatra began in 2010. Over the years, many important religious and public figures have participated in the event, including Acharya Dharmender, Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti, Lahari Ji, VHP leader Surender Jain, and Sadhvi Prachi Devi from Vrindavan.
