Grand Pushpayagam Celebrated at Vattem Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple
A grand Pushpayagam ceremony was held on Tuesday at the Vattem Sri Venkateswara Swamy Devasthanam in Nagarkurnool. Led by Chief Priest Sriman Prasadacharyulu, the priests performed a floral offering (Pushpa Abhishekam) to the utsava idols of Sri Venkateswara Swamy, along with his consorts Bhudevi and Sridevi. The ritual was conducted during the auspicious Karthika Masam to seek protection from natural calamities and to ensure prosperity.
The event included offerings of incense, lamps, and beautifully arranged flowers, accompanied by Vedic chanting and the sounds of mangala instruments. The atmosphere was filled with devotion and festivity. Women devotees from various areas participated enthusiastically, adding charm and grace to the ceremony.
The temple administration, with the support of Kuchukulla Manohar Reddy and Vasundara, organized the event on a grand scale. Several prominent individuals, including the founding members of the temple—Sandadi Pratap Reddy, Kotha Chandra Reddy, Gubba Satyanarayana, Dendi Krishna Reddy, Manohar Reddy, Chennakrishna Reddy, Narasimhacharyulu, Vijay, Srinivas, Narayana, and Ramakrishna—attended the occasion, making it even more special.
