Hyderabad: Good News for Teachers Selected in DSC Exam
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy shared exciting news for teachers who passed the DSC-2024 exam. On Monday, he announced that all selected candidates will receive their appointment letters on October 9 as a special Dasara gift. He also mentioned that the Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) Group 1 results will be released soon.
The Chief Minister made these announcements while releasing the DSC-2024 results at the Secretariat. He stated that the Dasara festival is a time of joy, and to add to the celebration, the government will hand over appointment letters to 11,062 selected candidates at a ceremony set to take place at LB Stadium.
A large number of candidates applied for the exam. Out of 2.7 lakh applicants, 2.46 lakh appeared for the test, which was conducted across 54 centers in 33 districts between July 18 and August 5. The District Collectors will oversee the certificate verification process.
Revanth Reddy criticized the previous BRS government, saying they only held one DSC exam in 2017, offering just 7,857 posts, which caused a significant loss to poor students. He praised the current officials for completing the recruitment process in just 55 to 62 days.
The Chief Minister also highlighted the government’s efforts under the “Praja Palana” program. He mentioned that in the first 90 days of coming to power, the state government had already given appointment letters to 30,000 candidates at LB Stadium. He added that the Telangana Public Service Commission had been restructured, with an efficient officer appointed as chairman.
Revanth Reddy assured that the Group-1 exam results will be announced soon. The government has also prepared a plan to provide 60,000 to 62,000 jobs in the first year of the Congress government. He emphasized that teaching is not just a job but an “emotion.”
The Chief Minister further revealed plans to establish Young India Integrated Residential Schools in 100 constituencies across the state. Each school will cost between Rs 100 crore to Rs 120 crore. He criticized the previous government for neglecting the education sector and failing to provide basic infrastructure, even starting schools in poultry farms.
In response to accusations from the BRS party about the lack of school infrastructure, Revanth Reddy argued that it was unfair to blame the current government. He pointed out that the BRS had been in power for 10 years since Telangana’s formation in 2014, and it was their responsibility to address these issues.
