Hyderabad: On Wednesday, the Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing (H-NEW) held an Anti-Drug Awareness Programme at the Keshav Memorial Educational Society in Narayanaguda. H-NEW DCP YVS Sudheendra spoke to students about the harmful effects of drug use and shared ways to resist peer pressure in schools.
The event aimed to inform students about the risks of drugs and promote a drug-free lifestyle. DCP Sudheendra discussed how drug abuse can damage their futures and highlighted the serious legal consequences involved. He encouraged students to avoid drug addiction and stay away from friends who promote substance use. The college Principal praised H-NEW and HCSC for this initiative, emphasizing the importance of such programs in helping students make informed decisions, understand the impact of drug abuse, and lead healthy lives.
Both H-NEW and the Anti Narcotics Forum of HCSC affirmed their commitment to organizing regular awareness campaigns in schools. Their goal is to protect young people from drugs and work towards a drug-free Hyderabad.
C Venkata Ramulu, Sub-Inspector of Police with H-NEW, and his team, along with KGSS Srikanth, Joint Secretary of the Anti-Narcotic Forum, HCSC, and G Satyanarayana, Project Manager of HCSC, were also present at the event.
