Mahabubnagar: Hanuman Jayanti was celebrated with enthusiasm and devotion across Mahabubnagar district on Friday. Many devotees visited temples to offer prayers and take part in the festivities.
The main celebration took place at the historic Appannapally Anjaneya Swamy Temple in Mahabubnagar town. Local MLA Yennam Srinivas Reddy attended the event as the chief guest. He offered special prayers to Lord Hanuman and prayed for peace, prosperity, and happiness for the people of the district.
Speaking at the event, the MLA said he hoped Lord Hanuman’s blessings would be with everyone. He also promised to take steps to improve and develop the ancient temple.
Temple priests performed traditional Vedic rituals and gave Teertha Prasadam (holy offering) to the MLA. In a show of communal harmony, local Muslim residents organized a buttermilk distribution camp at the temple. The MLA inaugurated the camp.
Earlier in the day, MLA Yennam also visited a Hanuman temple at Ambabhavani temple, where he took part in special prayers. He promised to improve facilities at major temples across the district.
Another political leader, Mithun Reddy from the Congress party, joined the celebrations at the T.D. Gutta Hanuman Temple. Several other local leaders, including Mooda Chairman Lakshman Yadav and former Municipal Chairman Anand Goud, also attended the events.
The celebrations saw large gatherings of devotees, showing the strong spirit of unity and devotion in Mahabubnagar.
