Former minister and ruling party MLA Danam Nagender is facing disqualification after defecting to the Congress party. The BRS, which Nagender won on their ticket, has filed a petition in the High Court to have him disqualified. Nagender joined the Congress party and was given the Secunderabad Lok Sabha ticket.
The BRS MLA, Padi Kaushik Reddy, filed the petition on behalf of the party. The petition will be heard in court on Monday. The party has also raised concerns about donations made to Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad.
