Heavy rains persistently hit the northern areas, while the south experiences only occasional showers. The Hyderabad Meteorological Department reports a surface trough located at 3.1 to 5.8 km above sea level, stretching across central Madhya Pradesh, north Chhattisgarh, and south Jharkhand. This causes several districts in Telangana to expect heavy rain with strong winds of 40 to 50 km/h in the coming days.

The Meteorological Centre warns of 30 to 40 km/h winds across the state. On July 8, intense rain with thunderstorms and lightning is forecasted in Adilabad, Komurambhim, Mancherial, Nirmal, and Nizamabad, leading to an orange alert for these districts.
