Hyderabad is currently experiencing heavy rain, causing severe flooding in low-lying areas of Bhagyanagaram. Residents are facing major challenges due to the intense rain, thunder, and lightning. Several districts in Telangana, including Hyderabad, are dealing with similar weather issues.
Rain is widespread across Greater Hyderabad, affecting places like Jubilee Hills, Banjara Hills, Filmnagar, Yousafguda, Manikonda, Pension Office, Abids, Khairatabad, Panjagutta, and Lakdikapool. The bad weather is causing traffic jams and delays, making it hard for drivers to get through. Local officials have begun relief efforts as the rain continues.
The Hyderabad Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for all Telangana districts due to the ongoing weather. Officials warn that cumulonimbus clouds could bring moderate rain to the state today.
Tomorrow, moderate rain is expected in several districts like Adilabad, Komaram Bheem, Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagityala, Rajanna Sircilla, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalapally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Hanumakonda, Jangaon, Siddipet, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal Malkajgiri, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, and Kamareddy. A yellow alert is in place for 27 districts with a chance of gusty winds along with the rain.
