Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) held a virtual review meeting on Friday, led by Managing Director Ashok Reddy. The discussion focused on the One-Time Settlement (OTS-2024) scheme, which has been implemented by the Water Board to help consumers settle their outstanding water bills.
During the meeting, Ashok Reddy asked all managers to go door-to-door to raise awareness about the OTS scheme. He emphasized that the bills should be collected by the regular meter readers of the Water Board.
Mayank Mittal, Executive Director of HMWSSB, also participated in the meeting. He instructed Chief General Managers (CGMs) to identify consumers who haven’t paid their bills for a long time due to legal issues and to take steps to resolve those problems.
Mittal further requested that CGMs and General Managers (GMs) form special collection teams to boost revenue through the OTS scheme. He also directed officials to identify consumers who have not yet paid the principal amount of their bills, issue notices to them, and take necessary action by the end of the month.
An official from HMWSSB encouraged consumers who have not yet taken advantage of the OTS scheme to do so. If they have any questions or concerns, they can contact the customer care number 155313 for help.
