A group of cab drivers from Andhra Pradesh who are living in Hyderabad met with Minister Nara Lokesh during Praja Darbar to discuss their worries about having to pay life tax on their vehicles once more. The drivers handed over a petition to the Telangana Government, explaining that they are being asked to pay life tax because Hyderabad is no longer the joint capital.

The drivers pointed out that they have already paid life tax when Andhra Pradesh and Telangana were one state. They argued that making them pay again would cause them significant financial hardship. To try and get some relief, the cab drivers are asking for more time before they have to pay life tax on their vehicles in Hyderabad.
