Hyderabad Local Authorities’ Constituency Election in Telangana Scheduled for April 23

The Election Commission of India has announced that a biennial election for the Telangana Legislative Council will take place on April 23. This election is for the Hyderabad Local Authorities’ Constituency. It is being held because the term of BRS MLC MS Prabhakar will end on May 1.

The election process will begin with the notification being issued on March 28. Candidates can submit their nominations until April 4. The scrutiny of nominations will happen on April 7, and candidates can withdraw their names until April 9.

Voting is scheduled for April 23, from 8 AM to 4 PM. After the voting process is completed, the counting of votes will take place on April 25.

Additionally, the Election Commission has announced that the model code of conduct is now in effect. This means that certain rules and restrictions must be followed until the election is completed.
