Hyderabad is set to host the ‘Tiranga Rally’ on Saturday evening, prompting the city police to issue a traffic advisory for commuters. The rally will start at the Ambedkar Statue on Tank Bund and end near the M-47 Patton Tank close to Children’s Park.
Traffic restrictions will be in place between 5:30 PM and 8:30 PM. Police will implement diversions as needed during this time to manage the flow of vehicles.
If you’re driving near the Ambedkar Statue, expect changes. Vehicles coming from Secretariat Junction will not be allowed to head towards Upper Tank Bund. Instead, they’ll be diverted to Liberty. Similarly, traffic from Liberty towards Upper Tank Bund will be rerouted to Telugu Thalli.
Those traveling from Karbala Maidan won’t be allowed on Upper Tank Bund. They’ll have to take a turn at Sailing Club and proceed towards Kavadiguda. Traffic from DBR Mills will also be blocked from entering Upper Tank Bund and will be redirected towards Goshala and Kavadiguda.
Due to these changes, some areas are expected to face heavy traffic congestion. Police advise the public to avoid busy points like Ambedkar Statue, Sailing Club, DBR Mills, Secretariat Junction, Iqbal Minar, VV Statue, and Liberty during the rally.
Travelers should plan ahead and use alternate routes to reach their destinations. Normal traffic flow will resume once the rally ends and the roads reopen.
