The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has issued safety guidelines in anticipation of rainfall in Hyderabad. Citizens are advised to stay vigilant and alert for potential issues caused by the rain. If any problems arise, they can contact the Disaster Response Force (DRF) at 040-21111111 or 9000113667 for help.

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts light to moderate rains in Hyderabad and Telangana for the next four days. A yellow alert has been issued for Monday in districts like Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy, and Medchal Malkajgiri. Thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds (30–40 kmph) may occur in isolated areas. It is recommended to stay updated on weather alerts from reliable sources and check on neighbors, especially the elderly or disabled.

Avoid unnecessary travel during hazardous weather conditions, and drive cautiously on slippery roads with reduced visibility. Stay informed about traffic congestion through updates from the traffic police department. Steer clear of nalas, manholes, sewerage lines, gutters, sharp objects, and debris. Test the ground stability before walking through water with a stick. Watch out for fallen power lines and report them to the local electricity department promptly. Do not touch electrical equipment if you are wet or standing in water, and assume all wires are live and dangerous.

Stay safe and take necessary precautions in case of heavy rainfall. Contact authorities for assistance if needed.
