Hyderabad youth gets 1-year jail for harassing minor in LB Nagar

A court in LB Nagar has sentenced a 23-year-old man, P Mahendra, to one year of rigorous imprisonment for sexually harassing a minor girl. The case was reported in 2023.

Along with the jail term, the court also fined him Rs 2,000. Mahendra, who works in the private sector, is from Hasthinapuram and originally from Andhra Pradesh.

According to reports, he had been stalking the girl and pressuring her to accept his feelings. After the victim filed a complaint, the LB Nagar police arrested him.

Additionally, the court ordered Mahendra to pay Rs 50,000 as compensation to the victim.
