Mahabubnagar is facing a major issue with illegal sand mining in Koilkonda, causing anger among the public. Many locals have reported that government officials are ignoring the illegal activities happening right in front of them, leading to suspicions of their involvement with the sand mafia.

Diddi Praveen Kumar, a social activist, has been outspoken about this issue. He claims that the sand mafia is exploiting government permits to steal natural resources. Both legal and illegal sand transportation are taking place openly without much intervention from authorities.

Residents observe sand trucks operating around the clock, often overloaded beyond legal limits. A local resident mentioned that sand contractors are bribing officials to allow extra trips at sand sites, indicating a regular pattern of illegal actions.

People in the area are questioning whether the government or the mafia truly controls the sand trade in Koilkonda. The lack of action against these illegal practices and the rampant corruption is believed to be causing significant financial losses for the state.

The ongoing situation raises alarms as valuable sand resources are being taken openly during the day, with little concern for repercussions.
