Gadwal: District Additional Collector Lakshmi Narayana urged beneficiaries of the Indiramma Housing Scheme to speed up building their homes. On Monday, he attended an event at Dharur Mandal headquarters, distributing housing sanction letters with Gadwal MLA Bandla Krishna Mohan Reddy.
Lakshmi Narayana highlighted the government’s dedication to supporting the poor through various development programs. The Indiramma Housing Scheme aims to provide permanent homes for homeless families.
In the Gadwal Assembly constituency, 3,500 houses have been approved, with 830 allocated to Dharur Mandal in the first phase. The construction process is fully digital. Land verification for beneficiaries is done using Google Maps, photos, and official records.
Construction stages are tracked via government apps. Once the basement is done, beneficiaries receive up to ₹5 lakh in their bank accounts in phases. He urged beneficiaries to complete construction within six months and mentioned that the second phase will be announced soon.
He also discussed other welfare schemes like Rythu Bharosa, Ration Cards, and subsidized rice, which are positively impacting lives.
MLA Bandla Krishna Mohan Reddy emphasized the district’s development efforts. He promised immediate solutions to public issues and highlighted how welfare schemes are reaching homes. The housing scheme helps realize the dream of home ownership for the poor.
The MLA proudly noted 830 houses were allocated to Dharur Mandal. The scheme is transparent, with funds directly transferred to beneficiaries’ accounts, cutting out middlemen. He assured that all eligible individuals will benefit from these programs.
Reflecting on past challenges, the MLA recalled previous water shortages that led to migration. With projects like the Nettempadu Project, farmers now cultivate locally.
He highlighted state achievements, including:
- Rythu Bharosa assistance increased from ₹5,000 to ₹6,000.
- Free electricity up to ₹200 for women.
- Free bus travel for women in Telangana.
- Expanded local education, allowing students in Dharur Mandal to study from Class 10 to Degree locally.
The MLA vowed to continue addressing village infrastructure and facility issues.
The event included:
- Gadwal Market Yard Chairman Nalla Hanumanthu,
