Installation of NTR statue stayed further by Telangana High Court

The Telangana High Court has decided to postpone the installation of a statue of NTR at Lakaram Tank Bund in Khammam. This was supposed to happen on May 28 to celebrate the 100th birth anniversary of the founder president of TDP and Telugu film industry legend, N T Rama Rao. The decision was made following objections from petitioners who claimed that the statue depicts NTR in a negative light as portrayed in the movie ‘Krishnavataram’. The case will now be heard by the court on June 6.
