The Jubilee Hills constituency in Hyderabad, Telangana is a significant political area. It is home to the Telugu film industry, influential people, and leading politicians. The upcoming elections in this constituency will be a tough competition between BRS and Congress. The current legislator, Maganti Gopinath of BRS, has won the last two terms and has secured his party’s ticket. The Congress leaders are closely monitoring the Muslim voters as their support will be crucial for the election outcome.

Jubilee Hills is an affluent suburban area known for its high land prices. It is located between the commercial district of Banjara Hills and the IT hub of Hi-tech City. Several parties are competing to win this seat in the upcoming polls.

This constituency was established in 2009 after being separated from the Khairatabad segment. Gopinath has a strong hold in this area. The Congress aspirants for the upcoming elections are former MP and cricketer Mohammed Azharuddin and Vishnuvardhan, son of former minister P Janardhan Reddy. TPCC Secretary Mohd Saleem is also in the running for the ticket. Azhar is particularly focused on connecting with Muslim voters in Jubilee Hills, while Vishnuvardhan opposes his efforts without his knowledge, leading to clashes between them.

Jubilee Hills also has middle-class and weaker section colonies, making it an important constituency for various social groups. Gopinath won the seat in 2014 as a TDP candidate and retained it as a BRS candidate in 2018. There were other aspiring candidates like TSWIDC chairman Ravula Sridhar Reddy and former Deputy Mayor Baba Fasiuddin, but the party chose to nominate Gopinath.

The BJP is interested in fielding a strong candidate in Jubilee Hills and is in discussions with a former MLA. Naveen Yadav, who secured the second position in 2014 with MIM’s unofficial support, is also a strong contender with a significant vote-bank.

In summary, the upcoming elections in Jubilee Hills will witness a tough competition between BRS and Congress. The Muslim voters hold significant influence in this constituency. Gopinath, the current legislator, has a stronghold, but faces opposition from Congress aspirants like Azharuddin and Vishnuvardhan. Other parties like BJP are also considering strong candidates for this seat.
