Hyderabad: Kalvakuntla Kavitha, a BRS MLC, criticized her party colleague and former minister Jagadish Reddy. She called him a “Lilliput” and blamed him for the BRS’s weak performance in Nalgonda district. Jagadish Reddy narrowly won from Suryapet.
Kavitha made these remarks during a press conference. She mentioned that many were upset about the remarks against her and questioned why her “BRS brothers” stayed silent. She hinted that a senior BRS leader was involved, preventing others from speaking up. Kavitha accused some leaders of surrounding her with people who criticize her, stating she knows their actions and meetings. She warned that their temporary happiness would backfire on them.
Kavitha specifically targeted Jagadish Reddy, accusing him of damaging the party in Nalgonda and questioning his contributions. She pointed out that the party failed to secure a seat in Nalgonda while Reddy barely won his own. She emphasized that without KCR, these leaders wouldn’t have gained recognition.
She also addressed comments by Karthik Reddy, son of former minister P Sabita Indra Reddy. Kavitha dismissed him as inexperienced in Telangana’s struggles and advised him to stay out of senior matters.
Kavitha claimed some top BRS leaders leaked a letter she wrote to her father, K Chandrashekar Rao. Responding to CM Ramesh‘s comments about a potential BRS-BJP merger, she noted that she hasn’t spoken to BJP MP CM Ramesh for years, hinting at a link between his statements and her letter’s leak.
