Hyderabad: BJP national vice-president DK Aruna criticized the BRS for its first list of MLA candidates, saying it exposed MLC K Kavitha’s fake ‘diksha’ in Delhi. Aruna accused Kavitha of diverting attention from her alleged role in the Delhi liquor scam by enacting a fake ‘diksha’. Aruna questioned why Kavitha did not demand her father, BRS supremo and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, to provide 33 percent seats to women in the upcoming Assembly elections.

Aruna pointed out that Kavitha had previously torn Bills intended to provide women’s reservations and questioned if KCR only considers his daughter when allocating seats for women. Aruna highlighted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has allocated key ministries to women, but the BRS voted against an adivasi woman for the top post in the presidential elections.

Aruna criticized the state bureaucracy for not responding when atrocities against women occurred in the city. She called it unfortunate and stated that officials seem to be caught up in political madness under the KCR government. Aruna also alleged that officials are giving directions to provide benefits to BRS cadre and called on them to resign if they are interested in politics.

Regarding land auctions by the government, Aruna questioned how the common man can afford land costing Rs 100 crore per acre. She accused the ruling party of colluding with corporates to rob lands and allocating them in the name of party offices. Aruna also claimed that advance liquor tenders are meant to fill government coffers before the Assembly elections.

Aruna stated that the Assembly polls are scheduled for December and accused BRS candidates of facing many allegations. She criticized the allocation of seats, stating that only five seats for SC and ST reserved candidates have been changed, while the Mudiraj community has not received a single seat despite being a large BC population.

Aruna alleged that the Congress and BRS have entered a secret pact to stop the BJP and are using money power to silence other parties. She claimed that people in Telangana have lost trust in the BRS and are looking towards the BJP. Aruna dismissed the BRS chief’s claims of contesting from Kamareddy and questioned if he can compete against Akbaruddin Owaisi or Eatala.
