Hyderabad: BRS leader K Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR) is getting ready to announce his next big political move during a huge public meeting on Sunday. The meeting will be held at Elkathurthy in Warangal district to celebrate the party’s 25th anniversary. It is expected to be one of the largest gatherings in BRS history.
Since the weather is hot, special arrangements have been made at the meeting venue, which spreads across 1,300 acres. A separate stage has been set up for cultural performances, where Telangana folk artists, singers, and dance groups will entertain the crowd before KCR’s speech.
To handle the large number of visitors, five parking zones have been created for vehicles coming from different districts. The event will start at 5 PM with the hoisting of the party flag, followed by tributes to Telangana Thalli and martyrs, and then KCR will deliver his speech.
A large stage has been built where about 200 BRS leaders, including former ministers, MPs, MLAs, and senior party members, will sit. To help people stay cool, 2,000 volunteers will hand out 10 lakh water and buttermilk packets.
For safety and smooth management, 200 mobile patrol vehicles, 25 towing vehicles, and 250 CCTV cameras connected to a command center have been arranged. Around 250 generators and big LED screens are also being installed so everyone can see the leaders on stage clearly.
Party leaders have asked people to use buses arranged by the party to prevent traffic problems. Big crowds are expected from Warangal, Khammam, Nalgonda, Karimnagar, Medak, and Rangareddy districts. People from farther districts like Adilabad, Nizamabad, and Mahabubnagar have been advised to arrive early.
During a teleconference on Saturday, BRS Working President KT Rama Rao told district leaders to follow a specific plan to avoid traffic jams. Leaders have also been ordered not to allow any gatherings within 30 kilometers of the meeting venue to keep traffic flowing smoothly.
