Hyderabad: Kishan Reddy, a Union Minister and the State BJP chief, announced that the BJP is marking Telangana Formation Day with great enthusiasm across all districts. He extended warm wishes to the people, highlighting the peaceful nature of Telangana’s formation movement as a notable event in world history.

During a celebration at the BJP Telangana state office, Kishan Reddy raised the national flag and addressed the crowd. He honored the sacrifices of over 1,200 young people and students, emphasizing their protests from Osmania University to the Parliament in Delhi. He pointed out that the BJP was the first national party to support the Telangana movement, joining the Joint Action Committee (JAC). The party also advocated in Parliament for vital resources like water, funding, and jobs. However, he criticized that post-formation, only the KCR family benefited, and the people did not receive the anticipated advantages. He expressed disappointment over the misuse of significant funds meant for water projects.

Kishan Reddy recalled how BJP MPs nationwide supported Telangana’s youth when police used rubber bullets and batons on students at Osmania University.

He urged people and intellectuals to reconsider the current situation 11 years after Telangana’s formation. He accused KCR of failing to deliver the promised “golden Telangana,” claiming only his family prospered.

He noted that Telangana, which began with a budget surplus, is now weighed down by a Rs 10 lakh crore debt, blaming the TRS and Congress for their governance. He accused these parties of corruption and misleading the public. Reddy positioned the BJP as the solution to rebuild the state, emphasizing that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's central government is committed to ethical and honest development.
