Hyderabad: Union Minister of Coal and Mines, and State BJP chief, G Kishan Reddy, announced that the party’s upcoming membership drive will focus on attracting women, youth, and farmers. He emphasized that action plans will be developed to strengthen the party from the grassroots level. This includes forming committees at the booth, village, mandal, and district levels. Reddy pointed out that the BJP has already gained significant support by winning eight parliamentary seats and playing a crucial role in forming the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is serving his third term. He urged party members to reach out to different sections of society and work towards bringing the BJP to power in Telangana.

Speaking at a state-level workshop on the party membership drive on Wednesday, Reddy mentioned that the nationwide enrollment will begin in October this year. He added that preparatory meetings and workshops will be held to create strategies for strengthening the party at the booth level, with the goal of making the BJP the leading party in Telangana.

Reddy also criticized the Congress and BRS parties. He accused the BRS of running a dictatorial regime for the past 10 years, which mainly benefited KCR’s family. He claimed that the current Congress-led state government is following in the footsteps of the BRS. According to Reddy, the state has not seen the promised “Golden Telangana” from the BRS, nor the “People’s Governance” promised by the Congress. He further accused the Congress of misleading people with over 400 assurances and six guarantees, many of which he claimed have not been fulfilled. He specifically pointed out that the farm loan waiver scheme has not even covered 50% of the farmers as promised, and demanded that the State government clarify these issues.

Reddy also announced that BJP candidates will contest in all villages in the upcoming local body elections. He said that the party’s village, mandal, and district committees will actively address people’s issues in the coming days.

Additionally, Reddy commented on the situation in Jammu and Kashmir, where Assembly elections are scheduled for September 30. He noted that the situation in the region was much worse before 2014. He highlighted the BJP’s role in removing Jinnah’s Constitution and implementing Ambedkar’s Constitution by abrogating Article 370. According to Reddy, this has led to significant improvements, including property rights for women, better roads in villages, and enhanced basic amenities. He also mentioned that the tourism sector in J&K has rebounded, contributing to the region’s overall development. Reddy concluded by stating that the people of the country are aware of Congress leaders aligning with anti-national forces.
