Hyderabad: Malkajgiri MP, Eatala Rajender, expressed deep concern over the incident at RGK Hospital in Kolkata, stating that it has left the entire country disturbed.
During a meeting with representatives of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) at his residence on Wednesday, Rajender emphasized that government hospitals are crucial for the poor. He acknowledged that public unrest often reflects the failure of politicians and promised to do his best to address the concerns raised by the IMA.
Earlier in the meeting, the IMA team voiced their suspicion that attempts were being made to hide the true reasons behind the death of a resident doctor at RGK Hospital in Kolkata. They urged the MP to represent their cause in Parliament and seek justice for the incident.
The doctors also shared their grievances, highlighting that female doctors are often on duty for 36 hours without proper facilities such as toilets, rest areas, or adequate security in the hospitals.
