    Hyderabad: G Kishan Reddy, Union Minister for Coal and Mines, highlighted the importance of teachers promoting Yoga. At a meeting for the 11th International Yoga Day on Monday, he shared plans for this year’s event, which will take place on June 20 at Lal Bahadur Stadium.

    He stated, “We have invited the state governor, former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu, and other notable figures to join us at the stadium on the 20th.”

    Prime Minister Narendra Modi will take part in the Yoga Day celebrations in Visakhapatnam.

    Reddy stressed the benefits of Yoga for mental, physical, and energetic fitness. He pointed out challenges like pesticide-contaminated food, polluted air, and the dangers of walking in heavy traffic. Many people, regardless of age, use their cell phones late into the night, reducing physical activity.

    He warned that this lifestyle leads to physical and mental health issues, resulting in high medical expenses. He suggested that these problems could be mitigated with regular Yoga practice.
