Hyderabad: Union Minister for Coal and Mines, G Kishan Reddy, has welcomed the Telangana High Court’s decision on the Dilsukhnagar twin bomb blasts case. On Tuesday, he said the court’s ruling to give the death penalty to the terrorists shows that there is no place for violence and terrorism in a democratic country.
He added that justice has been served for the families of the victims. “We will continue to support them,” he said.
The Minister also stressed that the central government, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is following a strict zero-tolerance policy against terrorism. He pointed out that in the last 11 years of BJP rule, such incidents have not been allowed, and the government has made national security a top priority. He added that politics based on appeasement should have no place in a democracy and urged all political parties to remember this.
Kishan Reddy also praised the National Investigation Agency (NIA) for its strong investigation that helped bring the accused to justice. He also thanked the police officers involved in the case. He urged state governments to take stronger steps to ensure the country’s safety.
