Hanamkonda: Public Meeting “BC Rajakiya Yudha Beri” to Be Held on February 2

A major public meeting titled “BC Rajakiya Yudha Beri” is scheduled to take place on February 2 at the Arts College Grounds in Hanamkonda. The announcement was made by Sangamreddy Sundar Raj Yadav, a former KUDA chairman and independent MLC candidate for the Warangal, Khammam, and Nalgonda teachers’ constituency.

On Friday, Yadav, along with leaders from the Backward Classes (BC) community in the erstwhile Warangal district, reviewed preparations for the event. Speaking to the media, Yadav explained that the purpose of the meeting is to showcase the unity and strength of the BC communities in the region.

He also revealed plans for similar public meetings to be organized in every district. These events will lead up to a massive rally at the Gymkhana Grounds in Secunderabad, which is expected to draw a crowd of ten lakh people.

Yadav warned that if the government fails to respond to their demands, they will intensify their fight. Key demands include:
    – 42% reservations for BCs in local bodies, Assembly, and Parliament elections.
    – Immediate cancellation of the EWS (Economically Weaker Sections) reservations, which he claimed negatively affect nearly 60 lakh unemployed youth.
    – Implementation of the Atrocity Act for the protection of BCs.
    – Clearing of pending student fee reimbursements.
    – Recognition of BC caste-based professions as industries, with government incentives.
    – Distribution of government land to the poor.

Yadav also questioned the fairness of granting 10% reservations to OC (Open Category) communities, which make up only 3% of the population, while BCs, who account for 65%, are given just 29% quota.

He urged all BC communities in the region to join the meeting in large numbers and make it a grand success.
