In Wanaparthy, drug inspectors’ checks are being criticized for being ineffective, with medical shop owners acting like doctors. In Pebbair mandal, the unchecked sale of medicines is becoming a serious issue, putting people’s health at risk.

Instead, they can just explain their symptoms to local medical shops, which will give them medicines without a prescription. The shopkeepers themselves decide what medicines to give, how many pills to take, and for how long, without any proper medical guidance.
